Two Spiders Earn VaSID Women's Soccer Honors

Dec. 19, 2007

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Juniors Sarah Hilt and Jessie Wolfe were named to the All-State Second-Team by VaSID. Midfielder, Wolfe played and started in all 22 games for the Spiders in 2007, while Hilt played in every game earning 18 starts. This is the second time Wolfe has made all-state honors. She was named to the second-team her freshman year at Richmond in 2005.

Wolfe, a native of Germantown, Md., led the Spiders with 12 points scoring five goals and adding two assists in the 2007 season. The junior helped Richmond record it's best season since 2004. The Spiders advanced to the semi-final of the Atlantic 10 Championship after taking down Duquesne 2-0. Richmond fell to Charlotte in the next round, 1-0. Wolfe was named to the A-10 All-Tournament team after assisting Christine Wrublesky in the Spiders' victory over Duquesne.

Hilt, the Richmond local out of Clover Hill, makes her first appearance on the VaSID All-State team. The back contributed five points this season, two goals and one assist, the most points she has earned in a single season at Richmond.
