Women's Golf In 11th Out Of 20 Teams At First Market Bank

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Richmond women's golf team is in 11th place out of 20 teams after the first round of the First Market Bank Intercollegiate, played Monday at Fords Colony Golf Club.

The second and final round of the First Market Bank Invitational will be played Tuesday.

The Spiders shot a 323 Monday to sit just four shots out of seventh place. Richmond is two shots out of ninth place and three shots out of eighth place.

Sophomore Anne Sprick, freshman Christina Gray and freshman Jillian Fraccola are tied for 29th at 8-over-par 80 on the par-72, 6,063-yard course.

Gray shot a 1-over 37 on the front nine and a 7-over 43 on the back nine. Sprick shot a 6-over 42 on the front nine and a 2-over 38 on the back, while Fraccola went 3-over on the front and 5-over on the back.

Sophomore Lauren Folgosa is tied for 52nd at 11-over 83 after a 42 on the front nine and a 41 on the back nine. Senior Alex Latimer is tied for 77th with an 85. She shot a 43 on the front nine and a 42 on the back.
