5/1/08 Shells Honored Among The Nation's Top Women's Basketball Rookies Freshman Brittani Shells was one of fifteen rookies around the country named to the 2008 Young Gballmag.com All-America team. The Richmond standout is among the nation's top freshman including Connecticut's Maya Moore and the Atlantic 10's Rookie of the Year Ta'Shia Phillips of Xavier.
4/16/08 Spiders Visit Holladay Elementary School Members of the Richmond men and women's basketball program visited Holladay Elementary School Friday to participate in a school-wide celebration honoring good behavior. Men's head basketball coach Chris Mooney, men's assistant coach Jamal Brunt, women's assistant coach Candice Jackson and women's players Johanna McKnight and Brittani Shells spent and hour teaching basketball to groups of students in grades 1-5.
