UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The doubles team of Doug Banker and William Minter went an impressive 3-0 against University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), James Madison and Coastal Carolina. Despite the players' efforts, Richmond went 0-3 in its matches over the weekend. The Spiders dropped a 5-2 decision to UMBC, lost 5-2 to James Madison and fell to Coastal Carolina 7-0.

Along with big wins for the Minter/Banker team, freshman Rafael Arana earned his first singles win as a Spider. Arana took down Bricker of UMBC in a 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (8) decision.

William Minter also earned a victory as a single player in the James Madison match. Minter took down JMU's number five player Voznenko 6-4, 6-4.

Next up for Richmond men's tennis, the Spiders continue to play at home as they host Charlotte for a 2:30 p.m. ET match.
