UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond senior Jordan Utley was named Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Player of the Week after tying for 10th at the Cuthbert Cup on Feb. 24-25.

It was the second A-10 Player of the Week award after as many tournaments for Utley, who also won the award after winning the ODU/Seascape Invitational in the final tournament of the fall season. A Richmond player has won the A-10 Player of the Week after its last three tournaments. Sophomore Hunter Townsend received the honor after winning the Hoya Invitational on Oct. 22-23.

Utley finished the tourney tied for 10th at even-par 144 (73-71), leading the Spiders to a fifth-place finish. It was Utley's fourth-straight Top-10 finish and his fourth Top-10 finish in five tournaments during the 2007-08 season.

Utley has shot six of his last seven rounds at par or below dating back to the fall season. This is the fourth Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honor for Utley. The Richmond, Va. native leads the team with a 72.69 scoring average.

The Spiders return to action on March 10 and 11 at the Louisiana Classics at Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, La.
