New football head coach Mike London announced the final addition to his coaching staff, naming Bill Polin to the position of offensive line coach on February 15, 2008.

Polin, who worked with London at Virginia, comes to the Spiders from Division II Stonehill College in Easton, Mass. where he served as the offensive coordinator last season.

He was the running backs coach at Hofstra in 2006.

Building an impressive resume over the last eight seasons, Polin started his coaching career with Division III Middlebury as the tight ends and assistant offensive line coach. From there, he served as offensive line coach at Dartmouth and later at Virginia for two seasons as a graduate assistant from 2004-05.

In 2005, following the departure of four assistant coaches from the UVa staff prior to the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl, Polin coached the offensive line in a 34-31 win over Minnesota.

Polin is a 2000 graduate of Colby College with a degree in American studies.
