Traynor Clinches NCAA Spot, Howard Wins Gold At A-10 Championship
Freshman Monica Howard captured the gold medal in the javelin and classmate Nicol Traynor posted an NCAA Regional qualifying mark in the 5,000m as action concluded Sunday at the 2008 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championship in Amherst, Mass. The Spiders captured five medals on Sunday, as the women's team finished fifth and the men's team took ninth.

Ney's Long Jump Silver Leads Spiders Saturday At A-10 Championship
The University of Richmond outdoor track & field team captured four medals, led by the silver from Megan Ney in the long jump, Saturday as action began at the 2008 Atlantic 10 Championship in Amherst, Mass. The men are in sixth and the women are seventh heading to Sunday's final day, with each team six points out of fourth place.

Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championship Underway At UMass
The 2008 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championship commences Saturday at the University of Massachusetts. A red-hot corps of distance runners lead the Spiders into Amherst, fresh off sophomore Andrew Benford's back-to-back weeks of achieving NCAA Regional qualifying marks in the 5,000m and the 3,000m steeplechase.
