High School: A highly-touted prep athlete, Filtz lettered all four years in cross country and outdoor track & field and two years in indoor... Class Valedictorian... Penn Trafford's Most Outstanding cross country and track & field athlete in 2006... Current record-holder in the 3,000 at the University of Pittsburgh's Fitzgerald Fieldhouse.... Was a three-time Pennsylvania State XC Meet medalist... Set 12 XC course records during her prep career... Was All-State in the Indoor Championships, finishing second in the 3,000 (10:17)... Also qualified for the State Indoor Championships in the 800 and 1,600... During the outdoor season, was All-State as a senior in the 1,600, finish third... Holds two school outdoor records in the 3,200 (11:04) and the 1,600 (4:56)... Team captain in all three sports
