First Market Stadium, home of Spiders' men's and women's soccer, and track & field. |
This lighted facility is located on the University of Richmond campus and is adjacent to the Robins Center.
Home to the Spider soccer, and track and field programs, seating is available for more than 3,000 spectators.
During the summer of 2001, the facility was renamed First Market Stadium, the result of a major gift from First Market Bank. A formal recognition of the gift and official naming of the stadium was held during the 2001 soccer season.
On September 6, 2003 a newly-installed, state-of-the-art track was dedicated in honor of legendary head coach Fred Hardy. Hardy, a member of Richmond's Athletics Hall of Fame, coached the Spiders track and field squad for 35 years (1950-85).
